GEAR UP Jefferson County was awarded a no-cost extension year to continue our focus of helping students transition from high school to post-secondary education. Through September 2026, GU-JC will offer services like mentoring, tutoring, site visits, and financial aid guidance to students who part of the Class of 2025 cohort. We hope to maximize the impact of the original grant by continuing services for students without needing new funds. It’s especially valuable for maintaining momentum in college readiness efforts. #GEARUPJeffersonCounty
